There are a couple Titan Pieces that take little jabs at hunters. I think it is mostly Bungie poking a little fun at the playstyle that encompasses each class. But you're right, Warlock gear is WAY anti-Hunter. My favorite: "If a hunter says that you obstructed his line of fire, reply thus: 'It was imperfect, and I could not abide it.'"
