The map reminds me most of a Halo map, So I love it! Completely different tactics are needed. + Snipers galore!
-
I like the map but hate with a passion how you spawn way out on the edge. I swear I lost 9/10 games there and I couldn't tell you why, literally. I couldn't lose on the other maps but I got to where I didn't want to see this map come up. Maybe it's a bit too big for 6v6
-
Its too big for my taste.
-
It's my favourite because its the easiest to snipe on.
#HeadshotsForDays
-
I don't particularly hate it it's just since it was one of the only two maps on the beta it's kind of boring/annoying
-
Second Light is better
-
Nope, lot's of options. With a coordinated team you can control many things. Not just zones.
-
don't mind it just jump on the auto turret at the start provided your tanks sit back a lil they come over the ridge you wipe em out your team gets dominance in the first quadrant of the fight = )
-
Nope, I enjoyed that map quite a lot, bunch of noobs running out in the open = easy sniper kills.
-
Venus was just so much more fun.
-
I like the map, I'm just sick of it
-
Some hoot ass shit right there
-
It's my favorite map and I don't use vehicles.
-
I LOVE IT! Destroying noobs since they can not properly deal with the vehicles is brilliant. AIM. FOR. THE. PILOT!! GG, you win. Hard, right?
-
Great map.. when the full game releases you wont play it as much because there will be more maps in the rotation. So it will give the game more variety and fun...
-
The vehicles make that map every more annoying beside the fact you go there 7 times straight so yes I hate that map.
-
I love it, perfect for a sniper like me.
-
Where is the "I hated it the first few times, but it grew on me and now I like it" option?
-
I love First Light, but I played on it so much that it started to get somewhat stale. I'm hoping the Crucible will have a better variety in the full game.
-
I primarily use scout rifles, so i hate all pvp maps.
-
I 'm night shift, so I had to go to sleep right after the I did the moon map. All I remember was an epic door where I kill 10 or so baddies with a single grenade. The atmosphere was nice... at least the part I remember through the sleepy haze.
-
Probably one of the better balanced maps. The others are very spawn trappy. I loved this map when it was a gun game, and hated it when it was a vehicle game.

Despite all the rage-inducing moments created by snipers and the tank (im usually the one causing the rage with the tank, sorry guys), the moon map is actually incredibly made in my opinion. It gives every player the option to play any way he or she wants to. Wanna snipe? take a high spot along the edges of the map and have at it. Wanna wreck some cqb with the shotgun? jump in the middle of the map and work A and B! Wanna use vehicles? Theyre there. Wanna kill vehicles? Theres PLENTY of ways to do so, including turrets that wont even give them a chance if you get the jump on them. The other 3 maps dont give you this option of variety in gameplay. Theyre mostly close quarter maps, especially shores of time. Have fun sniping there guys ;D or doing anything besides shotgun rushing really. Those who dont like the moon map simply dont know where they wanna be, and die in varioius ways since there are various ways to kill on this map. My advice to those who dislike the moon map- Know your play-style and know what part of the map benefits your play-style the most. Go there, and play the way youre best at/enjoy the most. You'll find you enjoy this map much more when you do so. Sorry for the long post btw...didnt think I'd rant that much xP whoops
-
The vehicles kill the flow of the map. It's obviously made with long range rifles in mind with all of its huge sight lines. My issue is that the vehicles punish anyone who dares to play the map the way it's intended.

Not a fan of first light. Need more maps like shore time..

Edited by Chobo: 7/23/2014 5:24:33 PMIt's my absolute favorite. I've always enjoyed maps with more space. This way you have less chance of predicting enemy movement, thus coming up with new tactics. Run and gun is fun and all, but larger maps prove more intellect and skill. Edit* And there is less camping, because it's not as effective on bigger maps.
