I understand this is supposed to be the Dawn of a New Era of Gaming. I understand that social gaming is the Big Thing and Bungie is trying to build their boats around that philosophy. Shared World Shooter. I get it. I dig it. It's brilliant. I've played in it, and I love it.
But.
Why must we get rid of all Local options? Is there any hope of me sitting down on a couch with three good friends and inviting them all to eat moon dust? Are the whimsical, drunken Saturday night Forge fests a thing of the past? Will we no longer to look each other in the eyes at ungodly-o-clock in the morning and say "I challenge you to a duel. Destiny. Now." Bungie has found an amazing way to bridge the distance of houses and states and countries, but why did they have to burn the bridge that connected everybody on the living room couch?
