Yea man I didn't do too good on my match and I got it for nothing along witha pretty lame sniper rifle.

Rewards are completely random. The match where a friend got one I was top of the scoreboard and got nothing while he was second to last and got the ship.

oh wow, he got a ship, haven't seen that, best I saw was someone on my team get a level 20 hand cannon :)
