Suggestions for Weapons Tweaks

Having played far too much over the first few days of the Destiny Beta I've noticed a few things. Firstly; Hand Cannons - I've noticed that not many people are using them on any class. In Crucible matches ever Hunter I've been taken down by is using a Scout Rifle, and even my own Hunter uses a Scout Rifle and Sniper Rifle combo. My own reasons: The Hand Cannon, while powerful, does simply not have enough ammunition. 6/56 is not enough ammo to run Devil's Lair effectively, not when my Scout rifle is 19/175 and offers almost as high a precision shot damage and kill rate. Also; the reload speed seems slower on the Hand Cannon, and it's too easy to miss with what precious little ammo you do have. Suggested Tweaks: Give the Hand Cannon a significant increase to reserve ammunition and ammunition pick-up quantities, a boost to stability and perhaps damage to make it more enticing to everyone, and seriously increase the reload speed (revolver shoots with a speed loader can fire 2 loads of 12 rounds in under 5 seconds.). Shotgun: Now I know that most people, especially Titans in PvP, don't have a problem with the Shotgun. It allows faster movement speed and is a fantastic killer when used with a slide and headshot technique, but I found that for close-range encounters in PvE it just doesn't have any real power. For Example: using a 57 Attack Shotgun on the devil Walker encounter in Devil's Lair against Shark Drones I'm getting at just outside Melee Range a bunch of white 6's from a single burst, and yet by switching to a 57 Attack Fusion Rifle I'm getting more white 56's and the thing disintegrates. You're meant to be able to shoot a Clay Pigeon at 10-60 yards, but with Destiny Shotguns you have to put the gun against your target to get any sort of decent damage figures. (Yes, I know that the shotgun staggers an enemy while the Fusion Rifle doesn't, but still...) Generally: Besides these two gripes, the only overall thing I can mention is perhaps the need for slightly higher ammunition reserves in general with a few of the weapons. 14 round reserve for a sniper rifle or 18 round reserve for the shotgun seems a little low. So does anyone else have any suggestions or comments regarding the weapons in Destiny?
