Thank god this game isn't just PvP
So not only can i one shot people with shotguns it seems two or three other weapons are just literally one shotting, from pretty decent range too and not snipers, combat is abysmal, I'm giving out and been on the receiving end of one shots, all game, constantly, god I thought this would be on par if not better than Halo, at the moment it's just boring, outright boring, and I can't see many changes coming to full release as most of you seem to think this is a good standard for FPS PvP, for some incredibly odd reason, you must be the ones vehicle whoring those -blam!- vehicles and using shotguns all game, first rant and bad thing I've had to say about Destiny, did not expect it to be about PvP...
What are your honest thoughts here?? Because it feels tacky, really tacky...

2 Repliesfirst of all, shottys r garbage, and thats the truth. no matter wat, u HAVE to get really close for that 1 hit kill, other than that everyone is flying with warlock and titan supers. pvp is fun, sniping is proper, BUT...VEHICLES are broken. they need to minimize it by half on dat moon map, OR they need to increase your heavy weapon respawn time so u can kill it, cuz people r driving into bases with vehicles, which shouldnt be allowed. and the point of this game is not just pvp, its pve, and its a beta remember.

I feel that PvP needs to pretend like we have shields and armor, the survivability needs to be increased and guns need a big balancing change. The vehicles could use a slight tweak as well. One point is shotguns wreck people up close, but have nearly no damage when nearer to mid range. More to the point is how a scout rifle does pretty much the same amount of shield damage. I don't think even supers should one shot.

1 ReplyIt's not like this is a finished product or anything, but it's also about the skill of the player for the pvp maps. Everything has a counter, play smart. Instead of being a tool using a one shot gun try handicapping yourself. Complaining isn't constructive criticism.

You have to remember that as the weapons get stronger so does our armor and we will be able to withstand those terribly strong guns

I agree to extent such that I myself was killed by a pulse rifle in one shot from a very far distance, irregardless, even guns that aren't one shot kills end up killing very quickly anyways. So I feel like the close-quarters-one-shots are appropriate, but little distance more than that is ridiculous.

2 RepliesIt's excellent, feels fresh. It will only get better when you can unlock all the subclass ability's. Just give it some time, you will improve your game, gain valuable map knowledge. A lot of players know the maps from the alpha, the most effective way of getting kills.
