Beta Got Me To Cancel My Preorder.
Was thrilled to get the Destiny beta but after two days of play I have decided to delete it and cancel my pre-order of the game. The reason is simply that the play is too darn hard at Mission 5 The Last Array. I have done almost nothing all day but try to get by it. I just do not think it is fairly balanced and it has been the most annoying and repetitive few hours I have ever spent with a game. Truly, truly terrible designed. To accomplish Missions 1-4 in about three hours then epic fail in Mission 5 after more than six hours? Even after leveling one step higher than the mission? Maybe if I had someone for co-op play but I do this solitaire. Anyway, I know I am not in the top tier of players so I am sure many will love this. But not I! Can't wait to get my $5 back.

bitch please you just throw it away or Xbox or Playstation and go back to Gameboy I'm pretty sure Pokemon might be the perfect challenge level for you.

I thought the whole idea of Destiny was to create an online army against the darkness. From the replies from half of you, you sound like more of a solo players which this is not about. I know guys that as sharpshooters you have no chance no matter how fast you are. Close quarter combat is not for everybody. I too played in the nineties and only consider myself 'jack of all trades and master of none!'. Don't give up on this yet mate, where here to fight together, and you could be the one to make the difference! Look me up anytime and I'll back you up! PS4 for now and maybe PS3 for my son, soon after.

Its not hard u just suck so here a helping hand ask for help easy to fix I went through the beta by myself like 4 times n different class n yeh its not to easy by yourself but its a game u have to think its not pac man or street fighter so suck it up

I completed this solo at level 6 without dying. It's not unbalanced. You just have to know what you're doing.

I've beat it repeatedly, I did it with all 3 classes. Don't blame the game blame the player. You most likely didn't think things through and you just yoloed in and got murked. I'd say just try harder and think before acting because it does get me killed allot myself. The game is very good just not many bright people.

Challenge is some of the best part of bungie's games. I would not cancel my pre order because it was,"too darn hard". Please reconsider this idea because I think your missing out on a great game

4 RepliesI dont think it is the game's fault. Maybe the class you chose was not for you or maybe the guns you were using were not good. I did really bad in the alpha but I played the beta with friends and it was a lot easier. I think you should try it with friends. Also were you high enough level to try that story mission?

Edited by ShadowGodd: 7/23/2014 10:53:48 AMreally? beta got me to upgrade to limited edition... paid in full. this game isnt like the typical FPS where u just mindlessly shoot ur way thru hoards of enemies you have to gear up and level up for certain missions and bosses... try freeroam and gear up a lil bit more also taking cover helps a lot to especially cuz health regens

Don't do it man! You stated further down in the thread you played in the 90's so you should know as well as I that sometimes there is a part in a game that you just have to put down the controller, shake it off, and try again later. Sometimes it takes talking to every gamer you know for a different approach. Maybe it is that particular level and forming a fire team is all you need. This game was designed to challenge gamers at some point. If it was all easy sauce, why would we play?

2 RepliesIt's only a Beta, the reason it's called a beta is so people can test it, you aren't the only one to struggle on that level, and they will probably fix it by September, so give it a chance, they spent over 500 million dollars on this game, do you think they won't make it worth playing.

I easily beat all of the story missions on my own and I was one level below recommended level for mission 5. I'm sorry, Thoth, but it's not the game's fault.

Did you ever think once that this beta is a test? See what we can endure for how long, our patterns and to find exploits before release. You will come around.

Lol this made me laugh the dynamics of the game are not for you. Stick to call of duty or easier type of gaming. The game is simply you have weapons upgrading and finding your style of gun is the objective. When i first attempted this level i lost horrible. I then started looking for better guns seeing what best suits me i.e. assault rifle or pulse rifle or scout rifle. Once i figured that out I then siugh to master my secondary gun sniper or shotgun..... thats the point of the game is being well rounded and keeping an armory of guns and equipment to yiur liking. After all these changes to my person nd my skill i can easily pass the last level on hard without effort

Either get some friends to help you or stop gaming because it is not a hard game especially the main campaign.

You would not have survived the 90's era of gaming. Sorry I don't mean to come off as a prick but you should always try to be better than what you were. I know we're only talking about gaming here but learn to overcome. Just keep at it Battle.
