Windows Phone 8(i mean win10 universal app) Companion App Request Please

Its officially been a year now guys and girls. Bungie doesnt give a flying -blam!- ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Just wanted there to be a thread so Bungie can see there actually are people on here that use a Windows Phone. Its not as uncommon as youd think and im certain its well within Bungies capabilities to produce an app for Windows Phone 8. (Even Rockstar did it albeit late) Whats even better is with cross compatible apps, any app on Windows Phone can be downloaded and work flawlessly on the windows 8.1 app store so people with surface tablets (or any windows 8 tablets) can use it too. Help all of us become the guardians you want us to be (not just the major market share). ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Until Bungie decide to release a companion app, a legend from these forums has taken upon the task of bringing an app for us windows phone users to enjoy. Go download and rate it

I could not agree more. After all the naysayers, set backs, worries of the game, and disappointments Bungie has reassured my faith time and time again. That being said when i heard the windows phones have no planned app in progress Bungie had FINALLY let me down. I am slightly upset about this. I have a small Data package so surfing the web for this site is a no go for me. I have owned an Iphone, and Android. I have always hated Iphones, and they seem like a pre-schooler's toy to me. The only android I have ever liked was my HTC Vivid. After owning a Nokia Lumia 1020 I could not dream of ever switching from windows (much less my lumia). I understand Windows phones do not appeal to everyone. I also understand that it is a small set back. I am just thoroughly disappointed in the fact the app will not be published for my device of choice, because for me, switching to a non-Windows device just will not happen (for the foreseeable future). I am sorry Bungie i still love you, but i am still let down.

      • Abso-friggin-loutely. So tired of app devs neglecting Windows Phone, especially since MS has made it simple to do. It's not like it's so labor itensive that they need to worry about marketshare on something they're offering for free.

      • I got a windows phone because 1. I sayed my first phone was going to be a new nokia phone. 2. I love the WPOS, even though there are not as many apps for it like ios or android. bungie wanted to be the best of the best but the past year they have betrayed us Microsoft gamers, phone users. they give us shit for a beta, fired martin O'Donnell, and worst of all, they failed there own 7 steps to world domination. looks like the covenant have lit the 7 sacred rings and burned a pathway into the divine beyond.

      • Absolutely agree, I own an iPhone now, used to have a Lumia 800, was a good phone but the charging port was frail or something because after a year and a half it stopped charging at all. But yeah people say why go for it when it's got such a lack of support but it's people like that that are the reason it gets no support. Gotta take a chance on it! Someone's gotta put some faith in it and help it out. It also doesn't make Bungie look any better after being accused of neglecting their Xbox fans (yes I know the exclusivity is most likely organised by Activision not Bungie but there are hordes of those believing otherwise), they already look like they have a grudge with MS this isn't helping.

        • I love my Windows Phone! I hate having the worst market. But I will never go back to Android or iPhone. I had an original Motorola DROID. I loved it at first (probably the newness of having a smartphone), but quickly came to loath the Android OS. It's so buggy! When I simply could not deal with the flakiness of Android anymore I switched to Windows Phone and never looked back. Started with an HTC Trophy (WP7), then a Lumia 822 (WP7/8), and now a Lumia 928 (WP8). Please, PLEASE consider developing an app for Windows Phone. As others have mentioned, sure the market is small compared to iPhone & Android, but it will never improve if developers don't embrace the OS. And with universal apps on Windows Phone 8, Windows 8, and Surface your small market expands that much more with little effort.

          • I don't understand why anyone who doesn't have a Windows phone is so against this. What impact will it have on you if Windows users are allowed to use this app as well? I don't get why people are constantly in this ridiculous competition about how much better their Ps4 is or how superior their Android is. It would make a looot of people happy if Bungie brought this to the Windows 8 market. It would only improve the way the community sees Bungie. As a proud Nokia 1020 user, I fully support this. Let's make it happen, guys!

I feel for you I hope that the windows phone users get a version of it sooner than later I remember how it has been when certain companies only produced games for the rotten fruit I hope you also get to the point where it is a lesser problem for you guys and you can just shun the companies that stick to the rotten fruit

That would be nice gift to your Destiny fans, Bungie. If they got all the back ends set and done for their iOS and Android apps then it should be relatively easy to develop a Universal Windows app. I will be surprised if Bungie doesn't have any plan to develop for Windows by the end of this year and then not surprised seeing as Bungie has been distancing themselves from Microsoft for whatever reason.
