Gandalf the White draws his power from Eru Illuvatar aka God, he has an unlimited pool of power that he can rely on. Dumbledore relies on his own willpower, he would eventually tire out. Gandalf doesn't really use "magic," more like divine angelic powers. He can just make Dumbledores wand explode then shrek him up with aoe blind spell, then shrek him up with Glamdring.
