Where are the Ninjas?

Seriously, can you guys come like, do your Ninja shit on all these "Bungie are cheating bastards!!!!!!!1111!111!" and "I am going to kill myself if you don't give Xbox fans exclusive stuff" threads? They have totally taken over the forum.

These forums are provided by our hosts for this community. If a member has a beef, as long as they stay within the guidelines of their membership agreement and the Code of Conduct, they are welcome to share their thoughts with the rest of the community. The ninja aren't here to "protect Bungie's honor" as if Bungie were some drunk freshman coed being hungrily approached by the varsity football team. The men and women of Bungie, our hosts, are "big boys and girls" and they don't expect and have never asked us to silence any member of this community because they have a criticism, or even anger at Bungie. As long as they express themselves appropriately and don't violate the rules that we all agreed to follow.... they are not ninja-fodder. I was a part of this community when Bungie expanded out from being a Mac exclusive developer and the outrage of the community that they were "now catering to the PC crowd", I remember when they developed their first console game (and the complaint was then that "you're leaving your PC/Mac base behind by making a Playstation game"). Then there was a lot of uproar over them teaming with Microsoft and making a 1-console-specific title. After that there was the anger and outrage over the fact that Halo 2 was "drastically different than CE" and the fact that Halo 2 didn't look like the E3 demo. Then there was the anger and complaints over Matchmaking (that lasted from Halo 2 to 3) and the fact that people felt "betrayed" by "this title caters to a group of gamers that I don't identify with". Rinse and repeat over 20 years. Yes, 20. 1994 was when I started playing their games and observing the cycles of love followed by intense rage. So this is nothing new, it is perfectly acceptable, and those who are angry, those who aren't, anyone who chooses to be a member of this community, all of them and their opinions are welcome. Our hosts have never attempted to silence the strong and passionate views of gamers (both the good AND the bad views). This has not changed, and I would be disappointed if it were to change. The opposite of love isn't hate. If people are "hating"? Then they feel strongly. That is a sign that they care. The opposite of love is apathy. When someone just goes silent and walks away, never to return or to give a crap, ever again. If we ninja were to attempt to "silence the anger", it would inspire apathy, dismissal, departure. I don't think that I would want to continue my role here if I were told "hush up anything that is complaining or non-positive". So, what am I getting at? Hell if I know. I am an old dude who tends to ramble. I just wanted to say that strong views are a constant factor in this community. Always have been, always will be. It'll all be okay.
