Hey Devs,
I was wondering if there is any point to logging onto the Beta the exact second it goes live, as my timezone means I'll be at work.
If there are any benefits, such as reserving a Character Name that will carry into the Live version of the game, I'd be inclined to take the day off work lol
And on that note, will any of the experience/levels carry over after the Beta ends? If all the work I put in will be reset, I'd focus less on leveling and more on getting a taste of each class to see which best suits me.

Your name in the game will actually be whatever your PSN ID or GamerTag is. Also, all data from the Alpha was wiped and pretty sure all data from the Beta will be wiped as well due to Bungie stating that they want everyone to start out the same and at square one when the full game releases. We may get some kind of badge or something showing that we were in the Beta but that will be about it.

Edited by Wolf_Odinson: 7/11/2014 3:38:50 AMNothing from either the alpha or the beta will carry over... except memories Edit: my answer appeared before this was posted; as part of a FAQ doc by Deej later that morning - "Q. Do I get something cool for playing the Destiny Beta? Yup! Play the Destiny Beta on Saturday, July 26th, beginning at 2PM PDT, to earn an exclusive emblem for the retail version of Destiny."

Since there is no naming, but rather your username here is used, no reservation is needed, as for beta, no official word, but assumption is no, to retain a fair base at launch.
