Its not just that, either. The programming is different. Development for different platforms is not interchangeable. Graphics API's. Architecture. Resource allocation. It doesn't work for the same reasons I can't just up and take my Linux applications and make them run under Windows. Then we introduce all the variables that different PC rigs introduce and optimization for that broad range of possible set ups. It really bugs me when people oversimplify the process.
