NMS: A Place for Theories

For me, one of the best parts about waiting for a great title to release is all of the possibilities to theorize about it. Because No Man's Sky is procedurally generated from pebble to planet to solar system, there are plenty of opportunities for absolute craziness. If you have an idea or theory you've been sitting on, please share it! I've no problem hoppin' on your hype train for this game. I'll start us off with with a few. Will hazardous environments be in NMS? Will some environments be so hazardous that they might not be worth the trouble? Let's have fun with it.

  • I was just reading another forum post, and I saw this comment by user Charlemagne, "Definitely so. I was thinking more of the deconstruction than the construction" (in reference to NMS being similar to Minecraft). Upon reading this, a crazy thought popped in my head, 'how far can we go with "that"'? Could a player cut a mountain down into a statue? Could we carve a city into the underground of some planet? If I blasted #YOLO into the earth would other players be able to see it?
