He's a troll, Trolls are Attention Mongers who can only get gratification when people pay attention to them, whether it be in a good or bad way, their self-respect is so low they have to try and bash things that other people love in order to try and make themselves feel better... So it may be a waist of time, but it's the only gratification they can ever truly get out of life because they just suck at everything else...
