Anything with a central nervous system is eradicated by the Halo Array. If proper precautions aren't taken, it can result in total biosphere collapse.
It's unknown how many simulated firings Guilty Spark did with 04, but we do know how many simulations Penitent Tangent ran.

He mentioned in one of the terminals in Halo: CEA that he preformed trillions of simulated firings to pass the time

1. but the forerunners had like...very few stuff that they managed to save 2. that means that a halo can fire 20 times a minute (ii'm assuming they were built in 101000 BCE which is the earliest time possible for them to have been built)

Edited by Lord of Admirals: 6/17/2014 1:30:44 PM1. The indexing of all life in the galaxy had been going on ever since the Didact was exiled to his Cryptum. Only humanity was very few in number because the Didact the majority as they were being loaded onto a Gargantua-Class transport. 2. No. It's just a simulation. Simulations don't have to abide by time. Earliest time is actually around 109,000 BCE.

ok...perhaps you're right about the simulations part, but the debate about whether to build the halos had just finished in 101,000 BCE.

The human-Forerunner war was started in 110,000 BCE. It lasted 1,000 years. Plans for the original Halo Array were being drawn up as the war came to a close. Meaning the earliest possible time is 109,000 BCE.
Plans for the original Halo Array were being drawn up as the war came to a close.
doesn't that mean that they were still planning during the war? and only started building later?

Not necessarily. The Forerunners knew the Flood would return.
