Its been awhile since I kept in line with lore but is Truth trying to wipe out the human race because he realize they were to take the Forerunner's place still true?
This is covered in Harvest I think.
Also at the end of Halo 2 didn't they say the other rings were ready to fire? What happened to that and why was it ignore? It was barely mentioned in H3 if at all.

It was barely mentioned in H3 if at all.[/quote] In the event of 'unexpected shutdown', all the Halos go into emergency stand-by status and are primed for remote activation at the Ark. Funnily enough, this is a fuse that we never [i]de[/i]fuse, as Frankie said a few years ago. The Halos are still primed and ready to fire, the UNSC Infinity's mission prior to the events that went down on Requiem, was to locate the other Halos to set up research basis to ultimately decommission them because they're a shadow that will forever loom over the Halo universe for as long as they're around.

If it had a separate Arbiter and Chief plotline like in H2. Maybe where Arbiter hunts down Truth and Chief tries to defuse all the Halo ring, then it would've been a better plot.
