Isn't Jorge's armor a bit lore breaking in the times of Halo: Reach?

  • Can you elaborate on that question? I don't fully understand. How was it lore breaking?

  • Based on the information ingame Jorge is wearing a set of Mjolnier Mark IV armor. The helmet is an armored up version of the base Mark 4 as said in the description and his chest plate has a shield generator strapped to it. Since Jorge is a Spartan-II I thought they upgrade their armor to the latest version when it's available.

  • Had to do some research in the visual guide to double check if it was all MK IV. It is.
Since Jorge is a Spartan-II I thought they upgrade their armor to the latest version when it's available.
As supersoldiers, SPARTANs are constantly being deployed to critical sites and battles. As a result, their existing dpeloyments can prevent them from receiving upgrades. A good example of this happening is actually the Master Chief. MJOLNIR MK. V started being distributed to active SPARTAN-II and III personnel in 2551. John-117 didn't receive MJOLNIR MK. V until August 29th, 2552. So for Jorge, he only had the luxury of making heavy modifications to his MJOLNIR MK. IV. Which by the way, the big pack on his pack isn't a shield generator, it's a MARK IV Field Case.

I call it the undersuit because it's under the armor plating but you are correct about the terminology. It weighs around 70 pounds, making the titanium armor plates weigh around 860 pounds.

Isn't he supposed to have a set of Mark IV with upgrades, but instead he is wearing Mark V [B] like the rest of Noble team, albeit a much bigger suit obviously hah Wait no I think I mixed that up hah I always mix up when and who got what Mark hah
