What happened to all the Anti-UNSC revolutionists? Did they just quit?

Once the Covenant began their genocidal campaign against humanity, the insurrection died down a considerable amount. However, with the Covenant threat temporarily ended, the Insurrection is beginning to ramp back up again under the New Colonial Alliance headed by Admiral Drake.

Edited by Lord of Admirals: 6/13/2014 6:31:49 AMThe insurrection started as a political movement in the Outer Colonies. The Outer Colonies provided the raw materials for the Inner Colonies. Food, metal, fuel, etc. Despite that, the Outer Colonies had little to no sway over the UEG. They felt like they were second hand citizens. Working hard, being paid little, and no power to change anything. As people in the Outer Colonies began to protest, a lot of people were sympathetic towards their cause. However, as negotiations reached a standstill, some of the protesters turned to more violent methods. After a time, the protesters realized they weren't going to get the rights they wanted (Unknown if was true, but that's how they felt). What started off as a peaceful protest turned into a full blown terrorist secessionist movement. As the Insurrection escalated, it only gave the Innies more reason to hate the UNSC.
