Not at all. Covenant interpretations of Forerunner texts lead them to believe that activating the Halo Array would send them on the Great Journey to god-hood. This is obviously a gross misinterpretation. Towards the end of the human-Covenant War, the Prophet of Truth began to change up the story in order to justify to his followers why they needed to travel to the Ark. He states in Halo 3 that the Halos are actually dangerous.
