Troy Baker on gaming cynics.

At roughly the 25:10 mark of this video:
'It should've been out in October!' And you're like, 'Well, you know, the difference between October and when it came out... you can live life and be okay.' And then it comes out, and people are still gonna eviscerate it, and say 'Well, it didn't live up to expectations!' Shut up! ...It's amazing: any game that comes out is amazing, it is ones and zeroes that are translated into Jesus particles, it's amazing, it's incredible what we're doing. 'The graphics aren't that great!' Shut up!
I think a large number of you lot (not us, don't lump me in with the bitter old hacks) could learn a thing or two from Mr. Joel-Delsin DeWitt.

 • I'm all for criticism and people being picky about the things they spend their money on. That said, a lot of the criticism I've seen from ordinary people online (not journalists or bloggers or commentators, just people in comments sections and online forums) has been leveled at really petty stuff: - Anything running below 60 FPS at 1080p is ugly and unplayable - people continue to whine and moan about the latest Call of Duty selling well - something something EA is the devil something something - something something Wii U is worthless something something - whine and moan when a game uses free-to-play - whine and moan when an MMO uses monthly fees I once listened for close to 40 minutes while one of my squadmates in PlanetSide 2 insisted the entire game was broken because he could move a vehicle over some walls in certain bases. I watched people hype up Titanfall like it was the best thing since sliced bread and then stop caring about it two weeks after launch. And perhaps worst of all, I watched these forums over the release of Halo 3 and Halo: Reach... and what was once a forum of excitement and enthusiasm quickly turned into flame wars over petty things like the mechanics of one particular gun or player ability. I love video games. But way too many gamers are whiny, childish, entitled little brats.
