Flood There's something outside and I don't know what it is.

Now I live on a hillside with a forest behind me and tall grass in both of the lots next to me. Tonight I've been hearing some real strange sounds coming from one of them. There's been a bunch of snarling, whining, growling, and screaming. Yes screaming. Like the kind you might hear from some sort of screech owl/cat/possum hybrid. Now I'm no stranger to wildlife so normally sounds and noises outside my home in the dark don't phase me. I mean seriously, I've got fox, deer, owls of all kinds, coyotes and even the occasional cougar. My animals are even freaked the fuck out because whatever this is smells and sounds completely foreign to them. Now the first thing I did when I heard this was to grab one of my floodlights and blast the field with some holy illumination. However when I did that there was absolutely nothing in the field. The strangest thing though is that there was nothing in the field when I did this and the noises went away. However when I turned the flood light off it came back a couple minutes later and now it sounds even angrier than it was before with the noises becoming louder and more frequent. It also seems to be moving around a lot since I'm hearing the noises of it run around in the tall grass and it's staying just outside of the field of light my porch lights put out. When I try to use a more focused flashlight to spot where it should be from the sound its making there's nothing there and the noises disappear again for a couple minutes before coming back. I have absolutely no idea what the fuck is out there right now. Help me flood.

I have a bear living across my street. Not like an actual bear though, just some greasy fat lady with a greasy family in a rundown house that nobody likes going near. My point being, they might as well be a family of bears since no one would approach them any differently. So I can't really sympathise.
