Out There In The Wild

Salutations, Guardians. I'd like to have a nice conversation of all the things you're looking forward to in Destiny; be it guns, factions, locations, armor, foci, story points, or anything else about the game. Please try your best to be civil here, if you attack someone for their preference or about information that you've not done your research on, you're only embarrassing yourself. Now, on to my thoughts. First of all, guns. The only guns that've captured my heart, so far, are the Arcus Regime and the PSI Umbra II. Not many of the Exotic weapons seem to have a lot going for them, in my opinion. By that, I mean that they all seem over-powered and everyone's going to rush to get them, and when that happens, I fear the weapons aren't going to be as exotic as Bungie is hoping or anticipating they will be. Factions. I'm a dead ringer. Dead Orbit's emblem, to me, looks the most bad a**. I'm all for 7 Seraphs and New Monarchy, too, but Dead Orbit had me from the start. I see people complaining a lot about how they think picking your faction, this early on, is "stupid," seeing as how we know almost, if not, anything about them. First of all, I doubt it will matter. Bungie's not going to make a faction a cult of psychopathic, baby-eaters to which picking your faction will say something negative about the player itself. I'm certain faction choice will be, mainly cosmetic in-game. It's been announced there will be faction missions, as well. So, there's another thing; besides those two points, I doubt there's much more to them. The foci (focuses; if you will) that've got me excited are the Warlock's Circle of Night focus, the Hunter's Arc Blade focus*, and the Titan's Striker focus. The Nova Bomb is a super in the Circle of Night focus, used by the Warlock, that lets him/her hurl a purple, fire bomb at the ground, killing most things that're in their way. The Hunter's "A.R.N.T.-move" spins the Hunter around swiftly, striking every foe around the player with an electrical blade. The Fist of Havoc super, from the Striker focus, allows the Titan to "Hulk-smash" the ground with a destructive AOE move. My Warlock, I'm hoping, is going to be dressed in black, raven-looking armor (much like the Warlock in the picture of the Warlock concepts) and -if possible- armored with Hive looking gear. My Titan will be clad in gray or silver armor, rusted and damaged from war. My Hunter will probably cloaked in gray or black armor for stealth. My favorite locations, so far, are Mars & Venus. The Valley of Kings, consisting of buried cities on Mars, seems like a d*** good place to find treasures. I'm really looking forward to storming the Vex Citadel and combing the Black Garden. To date, nothing's really been released about Destiny's story, but I suspect it'll be pretty great. I have faith in Bungie. Halo was pretty good, so I feel it's all in good hands. Well, that's all I have to say. Comment your views and opinions below and tell me what you're looking forward to in the Beta and on Sept. 9th. *I always get confused about everything associated with the Hunter's abilities, so I apologize for my ignorance & incorrect information.

I like the fact that bungie just didn't make another shooter. They made a sci-fi rpg where you can actually have companions who you can go loot hunting and making it open world and with factions is pretty awesome. You mentioned halo, it's not going to be like halo. I mean it will play like halo and it will feel like halo, but you're treating it right. You're treating it like an rpg. Coming up wih back stories making the game your own. That's the whole point. People who think it'll be halo 2.0 are going to be sorely disappointed. I like the way they reinvented the classic rpg roles of warrior, Mage, and rogue and then made it sci-fi and super awesome.
