So as I'm living in the UK and essentially can't surf anymore I've pretty much decided to get into long boarding. I've always loved the boards whenever I used them thanks to friends but now as I am walking about an hour to get to work I might as well have one for transportation.
Any people here with decent experience in longboarding that could give me any tips/advice/guidance on how to proceed? I've already been looking at boards online and I'm most likely going to go with an fully built board as my first until I get more experience and can start customizing each parts to my taste.
Anyways yeah, any tips or anything? Thanks.

A complete board will be good to go for just cruising around right out of the box. If it feels a little stiff you can adjust the trucks to your liking which is as easy as having the right size wrench. If you want a smoother and easier ride invest in some better bearings which are also very easy to replace. If you're getting it from a shop they should be able to tell you everything you need to know about the parts.
