I'm fairly certain everyone has the same ends. It's the means to achieve those ends that differ. I consider myself center. There are times where it is appropriate to raise taxes, and there are times where it is appropriate to lower taxes. I do not believe the minimum wage should be raised, but I think it should be indexed to inflation. I support the welfare state. Concerning welfare, the requirements to receive it should be very, stringent while simultaneously ensuring that those who genuinely need it get it. I'm socially liberal. As for foreign policy, I think it should be [i]slightly[/i] more assertive than it is now. Concerning education, I realize it should be well funded, but I also know that throwing money at it won't necessarily have a positive effect. I think that special interests, lobbying, etc. are a blight on politics.
