Last time I checked, skyrim wasn't a first person, nor was it a future setting, and it's not by Bungie, and if skyrim is so great, play that instead

You should check again, because Skyrim is in first person. Not that any of these things have anything to do with the fact that both are RPGs, and there is really no reason that if marriage is a mechanic in the game, two people of the same gender shouldn't be able to employ it. And Skyrim [i]is[/i] great, but I beat all of the story lines and all of the DLC. So your post is essentially irrelevant to this discussion. Saying simply, "it's a different game" is not a reason that the game should not include mechanics that are similar to other award winning titles.
