Will the Destiny Beta be playable w/out pre-ordering?

Maybe but you would only be able to play like the last day or two of the beta. Still, if you really wanna play the beta, don't be cheap and just put down $5 for destiny. If you don't like it, you can ask for your money back if not you get to play the beta and are guaranteed a copy at launch.
