Hunter Cloak Progression

Edit: If any of you found any amazing cloaks while playing the Alpha, I'd love to see pictures of them. We all know that in Destiny we will have equipment; weapons, armor and other assorted loots, and we will constantly be finding new pieces of gear and upgrading those pieces over time. Recently I was browsing destinynews.net and came across a gallery of pictures taken during one of Bungie's GDC presentations. I found this image to be very interesting: Hunter Cloak Progression Image This picture, if it accurately reflects how Destiny's customization and gear progression works, is amazing. I actually like the idea of starting off with very basic equipment (such as the 'bandana' cloak on the far left), and having it get better over time, or being rewarded with better pieces of gear. Obviously you can't make a cloak longer over time, but it's still a really intriguing idea. Also, going off of what we've seen so far I'm sure Bungie won't limit your options too much upon initial character customization, because how can you become Legend if you look like completely average and indistinguishable from other Guardians? What do you guys think? Would you want to start off with very basic gear and have to earn the pieces that make you more unique, or would you rather just be able to jump right in with a character equipped with more variable gear? Edit: Cloak progression basically confirmed via the Alpha, although not quite to the extent of the GDC images. If any of you found any amazing cloaks while playing the Alpha, I'd love to see pictures of them.

 • I prefer earning my gear. It keeps you coming back to the game to get that next piece of armor or weapon. Plus if you are decked out with great gear it signifies that you have been in the shit and gone through a lot. However, I would prefer to have a modest selection of gear at the beginning even if it is only for aesthetics. I don't want to jump in game on day one and see 101 dudes wearing the same shit as me.
