How big will destiny's world actually be?
Hi, so I wanted to know how big the world of destiny will actually be.

12 RepliesEach map (place that requires loading screen to get into) will be around 2/3 the size of halo: reaches campaign. Each world will probably have a few maps, lets say 4, and there are also 4 worlds so far (I think) 4*4=16 16*2=32 32/3= 10.7 So in other words, it's going to be insanely massive more than 10 times the size of halo: reach

15 RepliesBigger than anything we've seen to date. If you add in the size of all the maps together, it'll be absolutely massive. End each individual map will be up to ⅔ the size of the entire Halo: Reach campaign (already confirmed by Bungie as such) so expect to be able to explore for [i]quite[/i] some time.

1 ReplyI hope that maps will be big enough to have a feeling of a big explorable world and small enough to give us detailed and interesting locations. The problem with too big maps is that they can loose detail. Next problem with too much space is that locations (dungeons, caves, strongholds) will become more generic and boring.

If you can see it you can go there according to Bungie. So pretty big but not big enough to explore an entire planet.

2 RepliesIt will be huge but it's not gonna be open world in the sense of you can walk from the last city to say old russia. More than likely they will use some mechanic such as our space ship to explain us getting there but once you arrive at one of these places you will have a crap ton of area to explore in every area.
