I think I would have welcomed it too. I mean when I look at my Xbox One and the games I have for it, like Forza, Titanfall and Battlefield, it really would have made little difference to require online or not, because they're pretty much reliant on having an online connection. Not to mention future games like The Division, The Crew, Project Spark, to name a few, all somehow either use online assets or flatout require an online connection to play. The ways games from this point forward are being developed, it would have made little difference imo.
