That's still impressive. Looking forward to your finished setup! I've done cosplay once (album attached) and used the Pepakura method. I mention that because it looks like Rhino could give a quicker solution than Inventor or SW. It would also depends on the file output too but I'm sure there would be a workaround there. I don't have access to a 3D printer and Pepakura is the available alternative.
