Most recent unemployment numbers
The Department of Labor released their monthly unemployment numbers today. The numbers were not good even though the overall unemployment rate came down slightly. A really good article on the overall numbers can be read at the New York Times.

Looking at the numbers broken down by age and race is really disturbing though.
Unemployment rate among whites, all ages: 5.7%
Unemployment rate among white teenagers: 17.5%

Unemployment rate among blacks, all ages: 12.1%
Unemployment rate among black teenagers: 38% (up 5% from last month)

Saying it's Racial Discrimination is only a small percentage of the numbers when the current political climate makes it so more people are inclined to hire Minority workers over Whites.
