When I read Jason Jones' comment, it made pause to reflect on where it was coming from. I believe he has a Pioneering Vision and has been constantly refining this Vision over and over for a very long time. I feel Destiny is the culmination of that Vision. I don't think it will stop with Destiny, but Destiny will be an integral part to realize that Vision. The fact that he projects a very private and reclusive image (regardless if that's how he really is or is not), and has publicly appeared numerous times to support this game speaks volumes of his expectations and confidence in his Team to realize this Vision. I feel that Halo is near and dear to him (as with all of Bungie), but it took a life of its own and he didn't want to interfere with that. (Which shows a lot of self-awareness and humbleness on his part if that be the case.) As Destiny steadily approaches, it seems by his actions and his words that this game will be the Vision he has been wanting to come to fruition (As all of Bungie has). I think about how far people will go to create a world that doesn't exist via the medium which a video game provides. It wasn't possible to do this 10 years ago, but now it seems technology, pop culture, and a passion for gaming has caught up to what Jones has been envisioning. I believe in today's world that Vision is slowly but surely starting to crystallize. I find video games are always evolving, but what Bungie is trying to accomplish has elements of romanticism (not the ryan gosling notebook kind) but of the old westerns riding off in the sunset, the discovery of long lost treasure among the high seas, and yes to boldly go where no one's gone before. The magic of taking something intangible and manifesting that into a Vision that produces an experience in which players can share in that Vision is what I hope Bungie is striving for with Destiny. I look forward to seeing that Vision come to pass Jason Jones (And all of Bungie). -MVCK
