A Story I'm working on.

Becoming Legend Part:1 Reflections Victor stands on the top of the Tower looking out over Last City. His robes flutter gently in the wind his hands clasping his forearms behind his back. Last City, the words echo hollowly in his mind. A stark reminder of how far the human race had fallen, laid low by the Darkness. The reality that every human settlement save one was gone is a hard pill to swallow. His glowing golden eyes thoughtlessly stop on the Traveler. His mentor his obsession his new fix. It was the only thing that had stopped the Darkness from wiping humanity from existence. Victor's eyes closed as he felt the strange yet familiar fluttering in his brain. It was as if the Traveler was sifting though his mind. “Hello friend.” He spoke to no one in particularity, the comment was meant for the Traveler. Victor opened his eyes again and wondered if all of the guardians felt this groping when they returned to Last City. Or if it was just those touched by it. Those that had been changed into the Awoken? This question among many others are why he decided to become a Warlock. One day he would find the answers to his questions. The most nagging was a simple single syllable word. Why? Why decide to change him? Simon wasn't always an Awoken Warlock. Before the Darkness came he was Victor Blackthorn. He was a simple man with a simple life. He never made ripples and no one gave him a second glance if they passed him on the street. So why then did the Traveler chose to change him in such away? Perhaps is was a fluke. Perhaps the Traveler didn't choose those it changed and it just simply happened. At any rate is was a question that many Awoken had. “Some day I will know.” The Traveler stood in mute response ever vigilant ever still ever quite.

  • I like this, its not all that polished grammatically (but then neither is my own work) but I like some of the little details, like the idea of the traveler as a 'fix' and the general introspective take that your doing. I would be excited to read more. do you have a story planned or is it a character study?
