The biggest change will the number of weapons and armor (plus upgrades). And that these are to be found on different planets as the story unfolds ... and by "story" we mean DLC's become available. So yes, if you thought you could go frame game #1 into game #2 and survive, think again. Unlike Halo/Code where a DLC == Map, we now get "rewarded" for spending money on DLC by being given access to better weapons/armor. No more rushing for the power weapon in game ... gotta get that DLC :(
