Playing Demon's Souls.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest. How royally screwed am I?
Also taking bets to see how far I get before I ragequit.

It's not as difficult as people make it out to be. It's just a combination of the fact that the game gives you very little advice on what your objectives are and there's a significant penalty for death that frustrate newcomers.
