Let's Talk About Syria
Above is an excellent, four-minute video that explains the situation in Syria, what the importance of the war is to the US, and how it has affected the region and the people of Syria.
The conflict is something I've been following relatively closely and I feel like I have a pretty solid understanding of the conflict. I want to know what your guys' thoughts are, though. I'm bored and I feel we haven't discussed this topic since we were about the bomb them back in August.
Do you care about the situation in Syria?

1 ReplyI follow it quote closely. I think it's a gigantic clusterfuck will will end with Syria likely becoming Somalia 2.0. The whole conflict is quite absurd, I don't think that ANYBODY could have predicted that it would have turned out like it is currently. A goddamn mess. And while the government is brutal and autocratic, I can't help but to side with it given that most of the opposition are terrorists. At least Syria would have a faint chance of rebuilding in the next few decades if the government wins. It's clear that the rebels are in no way unified.
