My Guardian’s Back-story
My name is Erebus and I am the god of shadows and darkness. I have been drifting listlessly through space since nearly the beginning of time, with nothing left from my past except the agonizing memories that haunt my infinite existence. My last encounter on earth had been replaying over and over in my mind. I was banished from earth by my own son, Cronos. Cronos stripped me of my armor and weapons before casting me to the furthest reaches of the universe with no explination. I could only imagine that Cronos had betrayed me in order to gain total control over the other deities. I must return to earth in order to regain my role as the god of darkness and reign supreme once again. I will take hold of my vengeance and hunt down my godly brothers, sons and anything else that gets in my way.
Lately I’ve been seeing ships passing by at high rates of speed, but I could never get close enough to steal a ride. If only I could propel myself off of some debris from a nearby asteroid. I had stared at these asteroids for centuries and I’ve never gotten any closer or further away from them. As the feeling of hopelessness crept over me, a ship hit me from behind. I knew that my strength was still intact, otherwise I would have been destroyed on impact. Now I need to find a way into the ship. I couldn't see anyone behind the controls so I decided to try and use force to gain entrance. Wait, I shouldn’t damage the one thing that could possibly take me home. In the lower rear section of the ship was a basket filled with cargo. This is the opportunity I have been hoping for, for millions of years now.
After passing several planets I could see the moon cresting over the horizon of earth, the place I called home so long ago. I could see signs of civilization riddled throughout the surface that had been abandoned for some time now. On final approach, the ship slowed to a halt just after entering a large tower structure at the center of the last safe city. Blending in to the shadows, I was able to move through the city fully undetected. Unfortunately I have no choice but to assassinate a civilian in order to assimilate to this cultures ways and find out what has happened to my world. As I donned the last piece of armor and weapon I acquired from an unsuspecting guardian, a member of a clan called Starside Echoes asked if I wanted to join his clan. “This could be your last chance my man.” said the guardian. This will be how I find my answers. I replied, “Yes”. My body is ready…….
