After watching it five times in theaters (plus fifteen times since I picked it up on Blu-Ray on the 11th), I simply cannot understand how Kal's iconic suit was aboard an ancient Scout Ship that was on Earth 20,000 years prior to Kal's arrival.
And why the hell is it red and blue? The rest of the Kevlar-ish undersuits the Kryptonians wear is completely black (cape and all.)
I especially noticed this is the scene where Zod enters Kal's head after he goes unconscious aboard the Black Zero, and he reveals how he found Kal and how the remaining Kryptonians escaped the Phantom Zone. Both Zod and Kal are wearing black versions of their suits, capes included.
Any reply would be appreciated.
Plot contrivance: The US army creates a black hole to destroy Zod’s ship but it then disappears for no reason instead of staying there and accumulating more mass until the whole of Earth was part of it. The army was like ‘’-blam!- yeah, let’s create a black hole over our biggest city, our knowledge of black holes is very similar to our tangible experience with them, which is jack-shit, but we are confident that this plan will not backfire at all because an Alien high-school drop-out with no formal scientific training told us it was a good idea’’.
Lol
