So my friend and I had an argument... The topic: Is Magic: The Gathering a pay-to-win I will not give you my or his arguments because that would ruin the point of this. Come up with your own logic, and let me know what you decide. Also remember this is [i]opinion[/i]... I do not intend to create any arguments. My opinion: Yes Edit: I am talking about the card game... Also please comment why because I would like to know your reasoning..

  • Depends at the level you're competing. If you've been collecting MTG for years and attend FNM often, you're likely to pick up on the most recent trends that players are doing with their decks. No doubt that there are always better options to go with for cards, but you have to balance that with what is currently available to you. I have a couple decks where I have dropped $120 on them, but ultimately you have to know what the play and how to play it. That's entirely a game of it's own. You can look up the [url=http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/eventcoverage/ptths13/top_8_decks]top 8 decklists of 2013[/url] or even at certain tournaments, build the exact same deck, but if you don't know how to play them in accordance to your opponents, it's not going to do you any good. My opinion: nope.
