I love (and own) just about everything he's ever written, but if you're looking for a text on the theory of socialism, that's definitely not the place to start. The same would apply to Thus Spoke Zarathustra, but given that you've a bit of an obsession with Nietzsche, it's not as relevant, so that may be your best bet. Although, that said, I have a feeling that our resident Nietzsche expert would sooner point you towards Beyond Good and Evil than Zarathustra, from my own experience.
