...before we start filing false advertising charges against companies?
Why are they allowed to outright lie to us about their producting? This is far more than just arranging what is there in the best possible light.
This is outright deception.
Food companies are showing products that can never be deliveredby any of their locations. What is actually being shown isn't even food. It's an almagamation of non-edible if not outright poisonous or toxic products that look good under bright photography lights. Beer companies imply that simply cracking open one of their products results in an instant party no matter where you are. If not good times and a party then they sell sex.
Photographs of women everywhere, for use in cosmetics ads, magazines, everywhere, as shown above, are photoshopped to make them more "appealing." Even "real" photos of celebrities aren't real. They're taken and photoshopped before being turned loose to the media. In turn it's giving women everywhere body issues because they don't look right, leading to anorexia, bulemia, and at least anxiety and self esteem issues because they don't look "right." Hell, the above is even starting to effect men because they aren't the muscular, beef He-Men portrayed in media.
So really, how much longer do we have to tolerate this?
How much longer do we have to allow this malicious false advertising that destroying us?

Well, the generation before ours is in love with gossip. Once we get rid of the old farts, we should be good
-
We live in a shallow world.
-
Oh no unrealistic advertisement! Whatever shall we do for the droolies who can't navigate through the bullshit?!

it's like i'm in high school english class again

Just ignore it. They will eventually starve to death when the masses all just stop buying product instead of filing complaints or law suits for deceit.

I don't have anything clever to say. All i want to say is that you're words aren't doing anything for your cause. You can't save the world one bungie.net post at a time.

Did anybody else stare at that gif for like 3 minutes straight?
-
How much longer until the majority of people stop being apathetic about anything that doesn't have a clear, immediate, and direct impact on them? Well, I think we all know the answer to that.
Back to masturbation...
Granted I'm no Adonis, I don't need to tell my self I need to look like Leonardo DeCaprio to look attractive. What is with people and not taking personal responsibility? Why must someone always cry to big daddy authority cause they weren't smart enough to not let themselves get deceived? It's common sense that McDonald's burgers don't always look appealing, so don't -blam!-ing eat there, no one is forcing you to buy a certain quota of burgers from them every month. You decided to watch their ads, you decided to go to them, and you decided to buy their products. face it, you have no one to blame but yourself for encouraging this behavior.

You can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

You go up against the multibillion dollar companies and tell me if you win the case.
Hell, the above is even starting to effect men because they aren't the muscular, beef He-Men portrayed in media.
I suppose it depends on the person, I'm a healthy guy, but I'm by no means sculpted or buff, yet I am constantly exposed to advertisements that depict other dudes as being jacked (wear this shoe and you'll get buff, eat this lunch meat and you'll get bigger biceps, wear this deodorant because surely you work out daily) My parents raised me to care more about actions than appearances, and it's true. As for food, it has always irked me to see strawberries on the Cheerio's box when there are no strawberries inside haha! But I don't mind that my ice cream container has a picture of mashed potatoes dyed green, or that the turkey on the stuffing box is coated in car oil.

Good God, man. Grow up. It's called being a responsible consumer and not blindly swallowing everything you see.

Why should it change?

Legislation can't cure stupidity.

Stop buying all products and get everyone to stop buying all products. This way they run out of money and we can start from scratch!
