The Godsquad Chapter 2: Remembrance

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RorCZLsHqcEXyQUIi3YvdjGJmAT83pMB1k1e7hHhWVU/edit The Godsquad Chapter 2: Remembrance Fallen have taken over The Canyon. Do not pursue this challenge alone. Vanguards report that an unusual amount of Fallen are in the area. The Fallen might be searching for something. Unknown types of Fallen were spotted. Warlock and Titans are needed. Reward for eliminating every Fallen in this area is 10,000 glimmer. Mission begins at 0800 today. Knight and Mystic looked at the mission dossier again. Knight then said," We need to get another Guardian in our fireteam before we even think about attempting a mission like this." Mystic's response was this, "We will probably meet another Guardian on the way. We need to accept this mission before all of the positions needed are taken." Knight and Mystic argued about the pros and cons to attempting a mission like this without a complete fireteam. After several minutes they reached an agreement. They would only accept this mission if another Guardian accepted this mission within the next two hours. Knight took a moment to really look at Mystic. He had brown short hair and green eyes. Knight had blue eyes and red hair that went down to his shoulders. Meanwhile on the opposite side of the city another Guardian was reading a slightly altered version of the same mission dossier. Sniper needed. Fallen have taken over The Canyon. An unusual amount of Fallen were spotted in this area. Vanguards report that ranks above Captain were sighted. Something must be hidden here. Reward for elimination of Fallen and retrieval of hidden item is 7,500 glimmer. Mission begins at 0800 today. She reread the dossier and one sentence caught her eye. 'Something must be hidden here.' She was starving for a real mission, one where something was hidden and the odds looked impossible. She accepted the mission and checked her watch 0630. She smiled and hopped on her jet black sparrow and rode off to the market district in the middle of the city. She passes a few shops on the way to her favorite vendor. They were selling your decent versions of your usual things: armor, weapons, even abilities. But, she knew where to get the best supplies. As she approached the market of her favorite vendor a slick sniper caught her eye. Roscoe stood there smiling and staring at her. His Awoken skin always seemed to change from its normal light blue color to white whenever he saw her. She said, "Roscoe why do you always put my special supplies on display for everyone else to see?" Roscoe replied in his raspy voice, "I have to attract attention from other customers." She frowned and said, "Why do you need other customers when you have me?" "I always reserve and save the best stuff for you. I sell it to you at outrageous deals. I would not have a business if you were my only customer!" She laughed and said, "You don't have to give me special privileges anymore." Roscoe said, "I have given you special privileges since your father taught you how to shoot a gun. I will never forget that your father and I were in the same fireteam for 44 years. We would not accept missions often but when we did they were the most dangerous missions possible. That way other Guardians wouldn't have to risk their lives on a mission that seemed impossible. George our Titan died 12 years after John and I formed a fireteam with him. I have been the only vendor you will by from until your Father's death 8 years ago." "I know you we have this conversation everytime I come to your shop." "I would feel better if you moved nearby.""You do not have to protect me Roscoe, you are getting old anyway." "I am not old, I am only 65. This Major can still kick Ass." "Ha I would love to see that." "If you weren't my favorite customer I would ban you for that attitude of yours." "I know, I just love hearing your witty comebacks." "Lets get down to business. I have a sniper for you. It is jet black your favorite color. It is called The Vaporizer. It is almost as powerful and accurate as the jet black rifle your Father built himself, it was named The Messenger. He built that rifle 32 years ago, that rifle helped him soar through the ranks. He finally got to the rank of Colonel before his death. Where is your Dad's rifle anyway?" "I have it hidden away, no-one can see it or touch it besides me. I will only use it for the mission to Mars." "That is just a rumor. We will never go back to Mars. Mars has had the most deaths out of any planet in the solar system. If they have a mission to Mars I forbid you go there, you would die there like your Father." "Roscoe you cannot control me anymore, I am 24. I can take care of myself." Roscoe took a moment to look at her: jet black hair, jet black armor, olive skin, brown eyes. Wow she sure was growing up fast. It seemed like every day she got more and more beautiful. He said, "I will give you The Vaporizer for 1,000 glimmer. For anyone else it would be 3,500 glimmer." She pulled 1,000 Glimmer out of her pack and thanked Roscoe. "Thanks for the rifle. I will back soon." "Don't get yourself killed trying to become a better sniper than your Father." "I won't." She checked her watch again 0700.
