While "The Dark Knight" remains my favourite movie of all time (followed closely by "The Empire Strikes Back"), I must say that "The Dark Knight Rises" is a much better Batman film. What are your thoughts? Which one is your favourite?

I remember Batman Begins being my least favorite, mainly due to the shaky too-zoomed-in camera during the fight scenes. It made me dizzy and it was difficult to follow the fight scenes, which actually looked like they were choreographed pretty well. The Dark Knight was just perfection. The Dark Knight Rises was my second-favorite. I originally thought the ending could be darker, or at least leave Bruce/Batman's survival in doubt. It ESPECIALLY doesn't make sense that, like, the richest man who ever lived could just fake his own death and show up at a cafe a few days later, with no questions asked about why he looks exactly like the hyper-rich almost-celebrity guy who just died. I'm still bugged about how Bruce and Bane could just go back and forth between Gotham and the prison just like *that.* Bane, while not being nearly as compelling as the Joker, was at least memorable for his appearance (mask, etc), voice, and quotes. It's sometimes a bit difficult to take him seriously, though, just because he sounds so much like a posh old British gentleman, and that's just silly.
