What do we know of the factions so far?
I'm having a hard time keeping up with Destiny news on Youtube and other media, usually only following Bungie, and checking either Bungiepedia or Destinypedia, so I figured I'd ask the 7th Column.
Aside from Dead Orbit being Best Orbit, has there been any sort of statement about the factions so far?

Seven Seraphs, Osiris, Dead Orbit, Future War Cult and New Monarchy all have shirts at the Bungie store. (I have a New Monarchy myself) This being said, nothing is confirmed about factions other than they exist.
