It's been five years today that I signed up for a Bungie.net account and linked my gamertag. The number sounds so small yet sounds so long too.
I remember getting on here because the Halo 3 matchmaking waiting lobby "advertised" the site. I decided to come and check my stats when I noticed that there was a Halo 3 forum. I freakin' loved Halo 3 so I had to see what this "forum thing" was, as I had no prior experience with forums. I remember it just like yesterday that we were all pondering and discussing the secret of Sandtrap. I was so young and immature that I couldn't even contribute worthwhile comments; all I could do is act like the Halo 3 forum was my personal IM chat. I even posted youtube videos of how to play as a brute in multiplayer because I had no idea what deleting System 32 meant. *cringe*
It doesn't matter though. Over the years, I have been able to mature and become a better community member. I can look back even to the beginning of this year and see how much my etiquette has improved since then. At the end of the day, all I can say is that this will always be my favorite site because of the people here. Ad Astra.
Discussion Value: What do you remember about the forums from when you first signed up? How do you remember yourself?

My first experience in the forums was the file forum. Yeah.
