I found an Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag open sea walkthrough on IGN's channel, personally, it looks like it will be a blast. having a partially open sea (assuming it won't be as large as an entire ocean) will just add to the feeling of being that much more free.

I wish the naval combat would be more similar to AC3, all of this arcing is going to make me miss my shots. But it will be good to freely climb all over the ships.

I hated every naval mission on ac3 so when I found out u we're a pirate, I was instantly turned away.
