This is getting out if hand. If you goons work in fast food your there for a reason. If you add something meaningful to society, maybe someone will pay you more. Until then suck it up and do your job so I don't have to wait so long for my lunch... Bunch of lazy bums...

Hey they gotta pay for the DLC somehow ;-)
-
I understand someone wanting $9.50 an hour, that's about what it would take to live where I do, but then again I don't understand why people get jobs at fast food restaurants when they have greater financial need than a high school dropout. The trouble is people don't like the idea of actually doing physical work -.-

I make 16 hr at an steel mill and they want 15 hr for fast food....they dont know what hard work is

I guess it would depend on what your responsibilities were working at the restaurant, for me since I was the oldest I had to replace the oil in the fryers and do maintenance on them (dissembling the front console and looking for shorts), as well as training and evaluating crew members on the various stations we had. I was put on the night shift where I would have to close the store at 2 am and wouldn't actually leave until around 3 or so (cause of the cleaning), and since I was the only one with a car I would have to drop everyone off THEN try to get enough sleep to go to my second job in the morning (6 am). I was responsible for counting and recording ALL the cash drawers as well as the store's safe, if something didn't add up it's an automatic suspension. I've dealt with customers just like OP on a daily basis, making side remarks on where I was and what I was doing, but when in fact there was so much more to the job that goes overlooked. All this and I was still getting only 8 dollars an hour. As I was working in fast food, I had a college education, three years working in behavioral health and substitute teaching... and the only reason I couldn't get a job was because there wasn't any available- (a large number of departments were reducing staff). So yeah, there was a reason.

Fast food is a joke. How can people eat that crap. It's barely edible.
-
"I hand people food through a window all day, I want fifteen dollars a hour"
-
I hope they start striking again. I much rather order from a kiosk than the dumbass rude people most places have on their registers.
-
Youre right they dont deserve more money than whats earned for the work theyre doing. If they want to earn more money then they have to do bigger work. Thats why fast food jobs are starter jobs to just get you on your feet, and theyre not for people who have families or are older because you wont earn enough money. Thats why by then you have a better job, not make yourself feel entitled because you never moved ahead in life
-
We get mad at people for not having gainful employment and abusing the system. We get mad at people for having gainful employment and exercising their rights. People who have gainful employment, regardless of the job..*all* add something meaningful to society.
-
Wtf is with people necrobumping these days, it's a goddamn epidemic.
-
-
-
how dare you complain about your working conditions, I want a big mac
-
I hope Gasai comes here and talks about Mcdonalds lol
-
Yeah maybe if they didnt put pickles on my damn bigmac when i said no pickles then it would be okay for a raise. But they don't they f it up.
hate pickles
-
I used to think minimum wage needs increased.. Then, I got a good paying job and realized that we need to earn our share.
-
What about the higher-ups and the people who do make more money working for fast food companies? Couldn't you say the same thing about them?
-
I feel the same with these kinds of situations,my mother used to be an immigrant and worked as a janitor. We would often get a little bit of money yet the workers there shit all over the place like -blam!-ing babies.Until she got her papers fixed and became a nurse. But flipping burgers should get paid more than cleaning bathrooms?Bitch please,my mom worked 10x harder than those failures to society.I want a raise for being a failure my ass.
-
If you aren't in school and work in fast food as a non manager then you don't deserve more than 8 bucks an hour
-
It's funny how they complain but the military isn't
-
Can't take you seriously, with those grammatical mistakes. *you're

It depends on where you live. Minimum wages in the US are VERY low, around $7.25. Canadian minimum wage is higher, at around $10.50. UK is going up every year around £4.50, but that still isnt very good at all. If you work at McDonald's and want to make more money, either change jobs or vote for a different party in the next federal election, they might be able to bring the minimum wage up a bit.
-
Maybe if we paid people at fast food jobs enough to actually sustain a lifestyle above the poverty line they would work harder.
-
Fast food sucks, I worked at mcdonalds for about 4 months, and hated it. Now I have a job paying about 3x as much. And even though fast food isn't fun, it is definetly not a tough or strenuous job. Their pay should stay as it is, it requires little to no skill
-
$7.25 an hour is pretty bad for minimum wage, but these people may need to switch jobs. If they want $15 an hour for making burgers then I would love to make a little more working at my hospital. They should be grateful that they have a job in the first place. There are so many unemployed people in the country who would love to take their jobs.
