Your mindset comes from thinking God should be a nanny who does every little thing for us, when God is really a Father. You can't grow or progress if everything is done for you, and the same is true of humanity as a whole.

That's exactly my point. If God has a plan, then he purposefully allows things like disease and famine. It doesn't matter what the end-game is.
