My beautiful 870 express may have lived up it's usefulness to me. It suffered the Cerberus group fate and has surface rust on the receiver. Now this pisses me all kinds of off. It was a 400 dollar gun straight from the factory and not even two years later it's rusting.
So I am toying with the idea of selling it or doing a straight across trade for something else. I've weight the idea of a mossturd or even some revolvers. But I cannot find anything under the 350 I may get for it on a good day. That and the need for a handgun safety cert which costs 25 -blam!-ing dollars here in the glorious state of California, my options have been pretty limited.
I need a home defense gun, one that I know won't be an issue in reliability. I don't know if that rust will spread to internals. I keep my gun well maintained, hell I even cleaned it yesterday despite cleaning it after the last time I shot. I am not going to settle for a piece of garbage though. If I do end up replacing it, I don't want a shitty kel-tec or Hi-Point. I want something I can rely on to get the job done. Oh and Pompano, I am not buying a shitty Chinese made 870 clone either.
Any Advice guys?
