They way I see it, if you allow gay marriage, you should allow people who are 13 and up to get married regardless of age difference. You're more than able to consent at 13 and most have reached sexual maturity. Love is love.

You're NOT more than able to consent at 13. That's just stupid. You're still not fully mentally or sexually mature and in no state of mind to make a decision like that. Also, what -blam!-ing awful sex ed program did you have that you think ANYONE reaches sexual maturity at the age of thirteen? I really hope you failed that class.

Actually you are. Just because you were an idiot at age 13 doesn't mean everyone else is. Biologically your brain isn't fully developed until age 25 yet we allow 18 year olds to get married. I understand why you would think it's okay for teenagers to get married, and I would too, but I'm worried that it would affect their education. I've seen teenagers who can barely accept their sexuality let alone stick with a partner. Relationships are distracting enough without getting marriage involved. I'm pretty sure there are a lot more teenagers that couldn't handle a marriage than those who could. They have every right to love who they want, but I think marriage should wait until after they've gotten they're high school education. Marriage can decide who you live with, but your education determined whether you live in a box, apartment, or house.

The link you provided does not provide any information implying or saying that 13-year-olds are fully sexually mature. Also, it's irrelevant whether or not you're fully mentally mature at 18. You're innumerably less mature at 13 than you are at 18. That's a fact. Just because you think you -- a super cool fourteen-year-old -- are fully matured doesn't mean you actually are.
